Der 7-jährige Inder Triwheni wird von einem durchreisenden Friseur ins Kino eingeladen, landet jedoch in einer 1000 km entfernt gelegenen Teppichknüpfstadt. Was er hier erlebt, erinnert an Dickens Zeiten. Triwhenis Leiden und seine Befreiung ist die Geschichte dieses Filmes.
Il piccolo indù Triwheni, sette anni, è invitato al cinema da un barbiere ambulante e si ritrova così a più di 1000 Km da casa, in una città dove intrecciano tappeti. Le esperienze che vivrà, ricordano più l’epoca di Dickens che l’epoca moderna. Il film racconta le sofferenze e la liberazione del bambino.
