Rolande und Jérôme wagen das Abenteuer: Sie ist über 50, er gerade mal 25. Was sie verbindet: Beide sind arbeitslos und waren noch nie zuvor in Russland. Inmitten der unvertrauten russischen Kultur wird ihnen schon bald bewusst, dass diese Reise tiefgreifende Folgen für ihr ganzes Leben haben wird.
