Swiss World Premiere in San Sebastian

BLUE MY MIND by Lisa Brühlmann is celebrating its world premiere at the San Sebastian International Film Festival (September 22–October 3, 2017), Spain's most important festival.

BLUE MY MIND by Lisa Brühlmann is celebrating its world premiere at the San Sebastian International Film Festival (September 22–October 3, 2017), Spain's most important festival.

The film is being screened in the New Directors section, the international competition for debut and second films. BLUE MY MIND is the director's first feature-length film, for which she also wrote the script. The movie was produced by tellfilm in Zurich together with the Zurich University of the Arts, SRF and SRG SSR. World sales are handled by Be For Films in Brussels. At the centre of the coming-of-age drama is 15-year-old Mia (Luna Wedler), whose existence is being questioned by the transformation her body is going through.

Lisa Brühlmann studied acting in Berlin and went on to complete the course in directing at the Zurich University of the Arts. She has made various short films, including FRÜHLINGSERWACHEN (2010) or HYLAS UND DIE NYMPHEN (2013) and co-directed the episodic film PERIPHERIE (2016), which was shown at the Zurich Film Festival 2016. BLUE MY MIND will also be screened at this year's Zurich Film Festival in in the competition section Focus Switzerland, Germany, Austria.
