“Vitus” in Los Angeles at the AFI International Film Series

At the 20th AFI Fest in Los Angeles, California, which ended on November 12, 2006, “Vitus” by Fredi M. Murer won the Audience Award. The viewers chose among 77 films, including the complete selection of competition films. The producer of the film, Christof Neracher (Hug Film, Zurich) was in attendance in Los Angeles and accepted the prize in lieu of Fredi M. Murer. This award represents a favorable omen in the film’s running for nominations for the Oscar for Best Foreign Film.
