Distribution Support

VoD
SWISS FILMS has supported the distribution of Swiss film productions among international VoD providers since October 1, 2012. The support includes providing information and consultation, contributing to encoding costs, as well as collaborating with an aggregator as a pilot project.


Theatrical
The Federal Office of Culture (SFOC), in collaboration with SWISS FILMS, subsidises the distribution of Swiss film productions for cinematic release in Europe. Applications must be submitted to the SFOC at least two months prior to the scheduled cinematic release of the film. Applications are reviewed by the SFOC’s Release and Diversity Committee, which meets four times a year.
