SWISS FILMS at the Locarno International Film Festival 2010

SWISS FILMS was present at the Locarno International Film Festival (August 4-14, 2010) with the traditional information pavilion and numerous activities highlighting Swiss filmmaking.

Thanks to the discussions with moderated by film critics, the film screenings in the Appellations Suisse section provided the audience with more insight into Swiss film productions.

The "Short Drinks" cocktail party in the SWISS FILMS pavilion served as a popular meeting point for the Swiss short film scene, whose films were screened in the "Pardi di domani" section.

Alain Tanner was awarded the Leopard of Honour 2010 at this year's festival. The Federal Office of Culture commemorated this occasion with a reception for him at the SWISS FILMS pavilion on August 11.

In collaboration with the festival, SWISS FILMS invited representatives of the Swiss and international production and distribution industries to the Opening Party of the Industry Days at the lido.
