Mitrovica, since the war of 1999 an ethnically divided town in Kosovo. A bridge formerly connected, now divides the Albanian side from the serbian part.
We accompagny two young women: Arbonara (19, albanian) and Marica (16, serbian), both living in Switzerland, on their mutual and separate journeys to their homelands, both of which lie in Kosovo and are only 20 km apart. Their peoples are enemies and for this reason, conversations and thoughts underway revolve around topics such as blame, reconciliation, peace, war, pride and nationalism. Will Arbnora and Marica shake hands on the bridge between the separated parts of Mitrovica? A documented dialogue along the wounds of war.
