Yaël Bitton lives in the Lower East Side of New York. Historically, the neighbourhood, which is also known as Loisada, is the stronghold of the Puerto Rican community. Today these streets are being invaded by real-estate speculators. By building housing units with prohibitive rents they are radically changing the structure of Loisadas economic and social fabric. Pressure is building on the working classes, who are trying to resist.
