“Made in China” is an expedition through the urban Chinese underground and the slowly budding youth culture in Beijing and Shanghai. Eight young intellectuals in film, art, literature and music describe and reflect upon their works in post-Mao China. A portrait emerges of a generation which both Chinese and foreign media call the “lost generation”.
