Although Mali is a country with a rich culture, due to the lack of available funds it has virtually no cinema. In Bamako Kandjoura is gathering the leaves and clay he needs to dye the fabric for the costumes, while Adama Drabo and the entire film crew continue waiting, as they have for several months already, for the final bit of funding that will enable them to start shooting their film.
