Pico is a simple, middle-aged employee who conformed to his working situation long ago. He feels the stress and the responsibility. The most absurd jobs are shuffled down from the uptight managing director to Pico’s boss, and ultimately on to Pico. Although Pico does not actually agree with the situation because he has enough important work to do already, he always gives in. One day Pico finds himself in a position where his conscience will not permit him simply to consent – he opposes the situation and gains back a bit of freedom.
