The documentary film “Die Vitusmacher” by Rolf Lyssy tells the story of how the film “Vitus” was produced. Lyssy has created a lovely and astute documentation which, if it were from Hollywood, would probably be called the “extended making of”. “Die Vitusmacher”, the film behind (or parallel to) “Vitus”, is an august, artful act of friendship between two film directors, thus resulting in much more than a technical explanation of making a film.
