The film takes a stand against the common claim that political cabaret no longer exists in Switzerland today. Cabaret is something other than comedy. While also satirical, humorous and entertaining, today’s cabaret addresses the current Zeitgeist. It is based on a long tradition and has come of age, with other topics in its line of fire today. Represented in the film are important artists from today’s scene, who hold their own mirror of the Zeitgeist before us – and thus take satire to the limits of its threshold of pain.
