A unique portrait of a Moroccan-Jewish family, the Bittons: 12 brothers and sisters whose father was a Rabbi, and whose mother could neither read nor write and spoke only Judeo-Arabic dialect. By 1963, all had emigrated from Morocco; six siblings now live in Israel, five in the United States, and one – the director’s father – lives in Switzerland. The siblings only came all together once: at their father’s funeral. Over time, they have come to lead significantly different lives socially, culturally, religiously and emotionally.
