According to Alain Cavalier one only makes good films of whatever one loves. But what if I don’t manage to film my brother well, does that mean I don’t love him? In “Point de départ” a young cineaste makes several attempts to record the love he feels for his brother and for documentary films, and undergoes several bizarre experiences on the way.
