Complices
Fiction, 93 min.
Coproduction
by Frédéric Mermoud
France / Switzerland, August 2009
Vincent and Rebecca have been in love with each other ever since they exchanged glances in an Internet café. They are just barely 18 years old and live a carefree life. But two months later Vincent’s body is found in the Rhone brutally beaten, and Rebecca disappears soon after. The investigation of the case is taken up by the 48-year-old policeman from Villeurbanne, Hervé Cagan. He and his colleague, Karine Mangin, try to retrace the chaotic trail of both youngsters as quickly as possible. After bringing to light the young man’s last hours, he is finally able to solve the case. What he finds shocks him to the core, and he stands before a fundamental decision that could completely change his view on life.
