The apparent suicide of the father of a family has remained unexplained for decades until the story is stirred up again when a mysterious diary is discovered. The book’s finders allow themselves to be carried away by the fate of an old woman who refuses to accept that her beloved husband killed himself. But there is a sinister threat concealed in the 300-year-old house where the tragedy took place.
