Wenn der Herrgott ruft
Documentary, 49 min.

Switzerland, November 2009
Only twelve nuns still live in the convent, Maria’s Sacrifice, in Zug. They belong to the Capuchin Order; the youngest is 79 years old, the oldest 98. They own, along with the convent, valuable land in the most beautiful area overlooking the city. This property has now become a problem: what happens when there are no more nuns? They don’t want their convent to be converted into something else or allow the land to be divided up and exploited for financial speculation. They want to preserve the convent as a spiritual haven. They want to remain together in their fellowship and in their convent until they die.
