This film portrays the lives of seven weather prophets from Central Switzerland who predict the weather six months in advance. On the basis of mice, bees, ants, plants, mushrooms, pine cones and winds, they provide insight into their methods for predicting the weather and their knowledge in a sensuous and humorous manner. The film addresses issues concerning global warming and portrays the Mythen region and Muota Valley with the changing of the seasons, highlighting its inhabitants, dialects and beauty. Discussions about weather forecasts between three weather prophets and a meteorologist in Zurich demonstrate that there are also people with profound knowledge – beyond the realm of science.
