Christian Arzu joined the gang of youths called “Mara 18” as a child; his mission in the gang was to kill. Drugs and alcohol threw José Antonio Flores, the gang leader, off course. Rosny Castellanos was an honours student. The wrong group of friends and fun with weapons brought him 22 years in prison. Julio Bolton was a street kid whose surrogate family was Mara 18. He witnessed a savage massacre in prison as a young boy. All four are serving time in El Porvenir, the prison in La Ceiba, Honduras, where Coni Lustenberger, a Swiss volunteer, works.
