They live unseen among us. They are only perceived by chance when heard calling out. Living without personal documents or in an unregulated residence status, they wait for years for a reply. Three hundred refugees and activists occupied the “Kleine Schanze” in Bern for one week in June 2010. The film portrays three Iranians who, independently of each other, have gone on a hunger strike and get to know one another in the “Kleine Schanze.” Politics and media reacted with ignorance. A closer look at a seemingly hopeless battle against nationalism and xenophobia.
