Sven, a young man in his twenties, wants to take his new Russian girlfriend Eva out to dinner. He picks her up at her parents' house, where he has to face up to her father. Mr. Kavinsky is skeptical of Sven and challenges him with a curious interrogation, during which Eva is locked in her room. It turns out that Mr. Kavinsky isn't who he pretends to be and Sven's naivety costs him and his new love time and money.
