The story of a village that wins a sudden fortune through misfortune. Members of a local sect die in an accident, but the municipal authorities keep the incident a secret and use the sect’s money for their own personal gain. Concealing the accident, however, leads to a chain reaction: a series of events is triggered by other sect members, an angry farmer, his disabled son and the mayor’s unfaithful wife, resulting in a dramatic finale.
