Cora, a 19-year-old woman, works for her family in Bucco, a village whose livelihood depends on the tourism of Christians who believe in the apparitions of the Virgin Mary. Michele, Cora’s father, organises the important celebration of the Virgin of Bucco, an annual event that attracts numerous pilgrims. But the arrival of a mysterious man, Saverio, will gradually undermine the harmony in the “holy” village, with the revelation of a crime committed by the villagers 40 years earlier, whose principal instigator was Cora’s father.

Cora una ragazza di 19 anni è appena tornata a Bucco, il paese della sua infanzia.Lavora con il padre Michele sindaco della città, nell’organizzazione dell’importante celebrazione della “Vergine”, un evento annuale che attrae molti pellegrini cristiani e molti turisti. Ma l’arrivo di un uomo misterioso, Saverio, destabilizza piano piano l’armonia della città “Santa”, con dalle rivelazioni di un crimine commesso quaranta anni prima dalla gente del paese: l’istigatore del crimine sarebbe il padre di Cora.
