The director returns to Colombia after ten years of absence. He is going to confront his family and their painful memories in a home that, like his country, is marked by violence. At the same time, the country is also confronting its past through a peace process that wants to leave behind more than 50 years of war. Can one make peace with one's own story? Can one come to terms with oneself and forgive, despite indelible scars?
