A few minutes before killing his father and mother in cold blood, Benjamin Feller – a young 18-year-old – mails his personal diary, in which he confesses to and explains the double murder, to his French teacher. The choice of linking this woman to his act and pulling her with him in his wake despite himself, follows several months of a pedagogical relationship in which the students were encouraged to write personal diaries.
