Everyone has different ideas about such concepts as the homeland, toleration, foreignness, exclusion, depending on their point of view, their own personal history and experiences, their upbringing and education. In this film, people living In Switzerland who come from all the regions of the world state the case as they see it. There is no filtering, no artificial “balancing” of views. The camera simply records each contribution. The film is an attempt to stimulate argument, some original thought, and dialogue. It is no doubt this quality that makes this “straw poll” more believable and definitive than any smoothly balanced video presentation, with not a hair out of place.
