Young Aline has lived a solitary existence in the mountains all of her life. After a brief love affair with a stranger, she discovers she is pregnant. She follows her lover to the city but is rejected by him. Unable to deal with the shock of her abandonment, Aline finds solace in her own dream world, fantasizing about how to win her lover back. In her desperation, she starts to hear voices advising her to devour her lover if they are ever to be one again…
