A painter, 50-odd models. Under the artist's penetrating eye, the masks fall away. A device which offers the viewer a rare experience, sketching the portrait of several friendships, and at the same time a clever stratagem for getting closer to people and their peculiarities. What image does the other project to us? And we to the other? A relentless exploration of the theme of seeing, registering, hearing. A film about self-knowledge.
