Cleaning lady Paula works at a shopping mall in provincial Germany, where she meets Mustafa, an amiable Turkish security guard. At 30, Paula wants a man in her life, and promptly selects the unsuspecting Mustafa as the “chosen one”. Whilst Paula has amorous designs on him, Mustafa has other matters on his mind. He is under pressure to return to Turkey to get married. When Mustafa abruptly leaves Germany, Paula courageously follows him to the outer edges of Turkey. What she finds is not what she hoped for, but much more interesting. Spontaneous and refreshing, “When the Right One Comes Along” is a comedy about finding romance and oneself in the unlikeliest of places.
