Playful fauns meet centaurs, mysterious beings, half woman and half horse: the jubilee piece by Brigitta Luisa Merki is fabulously poetic and full of energy. The Swiss dancer and choreographer has turned her passion for Flamenco into her profession and, in turn, created her own interpretation of this classic dance by combining it with elements of modern dance. In 2004 she was awarded the Reinhart Ring, the highest award in Switzerland for performing arts. The film accompanies the artist to Spain, where she assembles the new company for her piece, to the rehearsals in Baden and to the premiere of “Centauras y Faunos”.
