In the spring of 2003, Stanley Van Tha, a refugee from Burma, entered Switzerland and requested political asylum. All of his applications are rejected. After just eleven months in Switzerland, Stanley Van Tha – bound and gagged in a wheelchair – is deported to Burma and handed over to the military officials from whom he fled.
