A wasteland, fringed with roads and fields, flown over by aircraft. The filmmaker tried to capture the beauty and the vigour of this plain setting, the flowers, the rank weeds, the sky, the clouds, the light, the wind. It was the discovery of a boundless exuberance, governed by the wheel of time, the seasons, the succession of day and night, birth and death. It was also the quest for a language without words, formed from images, the sounds of nature, music and silence.
