Pina Dolce lives without the sense of sight. This does not mean, however, that she does not see anything. She takes photographs, makes films and paints. The work “In der Nacht fliegt die Seele weiter” is her largest work hitherto. It depicts a perspective of outer space, with the radiant moon in the centre. “Darkness offers a new way of seeing,” explains the artist about the source of her inspiration. But Pina Dolce is also a wife and mother. And the fact that she has never been able to see her own son Viviano still breaks her heart.
