International competition: 35mm or DCP feature-length films presented as world premiere. Out of Competition: new important works by directors already present in past editions of the festival, 35mm or 70mm. The renewed Orizzonti section (2010), for films lasting less than an hour or more than two, absorbs the “CortoCortissimo” section and all the “Special Events”. The international jury of the Orizzonti Competition (new trends in cinema) awards the following prizes: Orizzonti Award (full-length films), Special Jury Orizzonti Prize (full-length films), Orizzonti Award (short films), Orizzonti Award (medium-length films). Mezzanotte: Spectacular and innovative works, full-length feature films, 35mm or 70 mm. Venezia Digitale: feature-length films made using digital technology. International Critics’ Week: 7 first feature films selected by a Committee appointed by the National Association of Italian Film Critics (SNCCI). A-Festival FIAPF. Industry Office -Venice Screenings: market club, business centre and screening facilities to producers and international sales companies.
