Anima Mundi, the most important animation film festival in Latin America, will screen about 50 Swiss film productions, in collaboration with SWISS FILMS. Fourteen of the films will be screened in competitions.

This year marks the 22nd edition of the festival, which takes place in Rio de Janeiro (July 25 - August 3) and in São Paulo (August 6-10). Particular focus is placed on Frédéric and Samuel Guillaume, the makers of “Max & Co”, with their participation in the “Animated Chat” panel. Frédéric Guillaume, attending the Anima Mundi festival in Rio de Janeiro, will provide insight into his filmmaking with his twin brother. “Animated Chat” is among the festival’s highlights. In addition, Swiss-born Simon Otto, chief animator at Dreamworks, offers a masterclass and Otto Alder, lecturer at the Lucerne School of Art and Design (HSLU), presents a special programme from the school.
