“The Circle” on tour in the US
“The Circle” goes to Hollywood: Stefan Haupt’s feature film “The Circle”, produced by Contrast Film in Zurich, has successfully launched its tour in the US.

Director Stefan Haupt accompanies the film on its Oscar tour, together with the protagonists Ernst Ostertag and Röbi Rapp. This means they will be present at special screenings and promotional events as well as give interviews. A second tour is scheduled for the film crew in December.
SWISS FILMS coordinates the Oscar campaign on behalf of the Federal Office of Culture, together with US publicist David Magdael and the film’s producer Ivan Madeo (Contrast Film) and with financial support from the Zurich Film Foundation and SRG SSR. The film rights have been sold by World Sales Wide House (Paris) to date in over 16 countries in Europe, America and Asia, most recently in Thailand (Movie Matter).
The Academy of Motion Picture Arts and Sciences in Hollywood will announce the Oscar nominees in mid-January 2015. The award ceremony will be held on February 22. Apart from the Oscars, “Der Kreis” is also in the running for the Golden Globes, Independent Spirit Awards, Critic‘s Choice Awards and other awards.
