Nine Swiss films will be screened at the 11th Zurich Film Festival (September 24 - October 4, 2015), five in competition.

Two Swiss films will be competing for the main prize of the ZFF, the Golden Eye, in the International Feature Film Competition: “A Decent Man” by Zurich filmmaker Micha Lewinsky; and “The Miracle Of Tekir” by the Rumanian-born director Ruxandra Zenide from Geneva. Both films are celebrating their world premieres in Zurich. Lewinsky’s wintery family drama is his third feature-length fiction film, following “Der Freund” and “Die Standesbeamtin”. And after her successful debut film “Ryna”, which was screened at numerous international film festivals and honoured with many awards, Zenide will now present her second feature film “The Miracle Of Tekir”, a modern fairy tale.

Three Swiss films will compete in the Focus Switzerland, Germany, Austria category: Niklaus Hilber’s teen drama “Amateur Teens”; Christian Neu’s documentary film “Chaebols und Chabolas – Der Kampf um Arbeit”; and Esen Isik’s feature film debut “Köpek”, set in Istanbul.

In addition, four Swiss film productions will be screened out of competition in Zurich. Sabine Gisiger’s “Dürrenmatt – eine Liebesgeschichte” will be screened for the first time in Zurich as a Gala Premiere. Two Swiss film productions will celebrate their premieres in the Special Screenings section: “Après l’hiver” by Bastien Bösiger and Adrien Bordone; as well as “Verdacht” by Sabine Boss. Also presented in this section is the first release of the newly restored version of the Oscar-winning Swiss classic “Marie-Louise” by Leopold Lindtberg (1944).
