Two Swiss films nominated for the Trophées Francophones du Cinéma

The two Swiss productions – “Keeper” and “La vanité” – have each received two nominations for the Trophées Francophones du Cinéma 2016.

The two Swiss productions – “Keeper” and “La vanité” – have each received two nominations for the Trophées Francophones du Cinéma 2016.

Keeper” by the Belgian director Guillaume Senez has a nomination for Best Actress (French actress Galatea Bellugi) and for Best Actor (Kacey Mottet Klein – Switzerland’s Shooting Star at the Berlinale 2016). The Belgian-French-Swiss film was coproduced by Louise Productions, Lausanne.

La vanité” by Lionel Baier (production: Bande à part Films, Lausanne) received a nomination for Best Actress (Spanish actress Carmen Maura), as well as for Best Script (Lionel Baier and Julien Bouissoux).

The Swiss-Canadian director Léa Pool is nominated for Best Direction with the Canadian film “La passion d’Augustine”.

The Trophées Francophones du Cinéma are awarded annually to films from Francophone regions. This year’s award ceremony will be held in Beirut on December 3, 2016.
