Herbert Müller is determined to get his teenage daughter Isabelle, a recovering drug addict, onto the straight and narrow. He sets her up with a job at his hi-fi shop, but the 9-5 grind isn't quite what Isabelle, an aspiring rock singer has in mind. She runs away with her musician boyfriend Osman and falls back into the drugs scene. Herbert blames Osman for his daughter's relapse and, upon the suggestion of friends, reluctantly pays some local thugs to beat him up. However, they go too far and the police get involved. Herbert is ready to own up to the po-lice when he gets a call that the thugs have kidnapped Isabelle. Now Herbert is thrown into a double bind: how to save his daughter's life and stay within the law.
