Christoph Kühn’s portrait film “Glauser” was honoured with the Award for Creativity at the International Festival of Films on Art (FIFA) in Montreal. The award is endowed with 5,000 dollars.

The jury of the 31st International Festival of Films on Art (FIFA) in Montreal (March 14--24, 2013) presented the Award for Creativity, endowed with $5,000, to “Glauser” by Christoph Kühn. Two Swiss films were screened in the festival’s International Competition.

Turbulent life
The film portrays the turbulent life of the Swiss author Friedrich Glauser (1896-1938), who is considered one of the first mystery writers in the German language. Film director Christoph Kühn melded fictitious scenes with photos, interviews, and drawings by the illustrator Hannes Binder. Seven Swiss film productions were among the 248 films from 30 countries screened at this year’s festival. The International Festival of Films on Art is one of the largest in the world devoted entirely to films about art.
