Berlinale: Award for Best Director goes to THE GIRL AND THE SPIDER

The Swiss film THE GIRL AND THE SPIDER (DAS MÄDCHEN UND DIE SPINNE) by Ramon Zürcher and Silvan Zürcher (production Beauvoir Films) wins the Best Director Award of the Encounters section at the Berlinale.
Jury statement:
“A remarkable construction of a rigorous mise en scène serving the ambiguity of each character with grace, humour, subtlety, and ultimately embracing the complexity of human relationships.”
Furthermore, the film receives the award for the Encounters section by the independent FIPRESCI jury (Fédération Internationale de la Presse Cinématographique).
