Georges Schwizgebel wins “Prix Regards Jeunes” in Cannes

The short animated film “L’homme sans ombre” (The man without a shadow) by Georges Schwizgebel was awarded Best Short Film by a youth jury for the parallel sections “Semaine de la critique” and “Quinzaine des réalisateurs” at the Cannes Film Festival on May 21. Organized by the French Ministry of Youth and Sports for the 23rd time, this jury consists of five teenage members from France, Québec, Holland, and Ireland.
“L’homme sans ombre” was produced in collaboration with the “National Film Board of Canada”. In June, it will also participate at the International Animated Film Festival in Annecy, France. Geneva director Georges Schwizgebel’s last short film “La jeune fille et les nuages” (The young girl and the clouds) won the Swiss Film Prize in the “Best Short Film” category.
