16.02.2004

The eight-minute-long animation film “Circuit marine” by Swiss filmmaker Isabelle Favez received an honorary mention at the 27th Children’s Film Fest in Berlin. The jury, consisting of eleven children from Berlin between the ages 11 to 14, stated that due to its unusual and amusing sound effects, the “wonderfully” drawn animation film was funny throughout despite some of its seemingly harsh scenes.
Born in Berne in 1974, Isabelle Faves completed her studies at the School of Art and Design Zurich (HGKZ) with her film “Replay.” In 2002, she presented “Les Voltigeurs” which received international recognition as well. “Circuit marine” was produced in 2003 as part of a work study program at the Studio Folimage in Valence, France.
