“Ryna” wins two awards in Annonay (France)

The feature film debut “Ryna” (Production: Pacific Films and Navarro Films, Geneva) by Ruxandra Zenide won to awards at the 23rd edition of the Annonay International Film Festival. The director, who is originally from Romania and resides in Geneva, Switzerland, received the audience award and the prize bestowed by middle school students.
The prize sum of 1,600 Euros for the audience award and the 600-Euro students’ award will go directly to the director. “Ryna” was already awarded twice at the Mannheim Film Festival last year, and it won the main prize at the Festival Cinéma Tout Ecran. The film has been nominated for the 2006 Swiss Film Prize and will be released in Swiss movie theatres in May.
