Silver Dove for Russian-Swiss co-production in Leipzig

At the 47th International Leipzig Festival for Documentary and Animated Film, which ended on October 24, “Vivre en Paix” by Antoine Cattin and Pavel Kosotomarov won the Silver Dove in the category of Documentary Films under 45 minutes. The award is accompanied by a prize sum of 2,000 Euro.
The documentary film by Russian Pavel Kostomarov and Swiss Antoine Cattin depicts the hard life of a father who was exiled from Chechnya and, together with his son, attempts to build a new existence in a remote Russian village. 30-year-old Antoine Cattin, who lives both in Russia and Switzerland, is co-founder and editor of the movie newspaper “Hors-Champ.” In 2003, he produced with Pavel Kostomarov the short film “Transformator,” which also received international attention.
