Six nominations for "Hell" at German Film Awards

The German-Swiss coproduction "Hell" by Basel director Tim Fehlbaum is a favourite at the German Film Awards 2012 together with Christian Petzold’s film "Barbara".

The German-Swiss coproduction "Hell" by Basel director Tim Fehlbaum is a favourite at the German Film Awards 2012 together with Christian Petzold’s film "Barbara". Apart from its nomination as «Best Feature Film» the debut film coproduced by Zurich Vega Film was also nominated in five other categories. Swiss film technician Leonie Leuenberger (Best Costume Design) and Hugo Poletti (Best Sound Design) are among the nominees. The German Film Award 2012 will be presented at Friedrichstadtpalast in Berlin on April 27th.

End-time thriller "Hell" is Tim Fehlbaum’s graduation film from the Munich University of Television and Film. The film was shown on Piazza Grande in Locarno in 2011, featuring Hanna Herzsprung and Stipe Erceg. It has already won seven international prizes and was nominated for Best Feature Film and Best Script at the «Quartz 2012» awards.

At the German Film Awards 2012 «Hell» has been nominated for «Best Feature Film» as well as in the following categories: «Best Set Design» (Heike Lange), «Best Costume Design» (Leonie Leuenberger), «Best Make Up and Hair» (Christina Baier), «Best Music» (Lorenz Dangel) and «Best Sound Design» Hubert Bartholomae and Hugo Poletti).
