Swiss presence at the Art Film Festival in Montreal

Four Swiss film productions will be screened in Montreal at the 27th International Festival of Films on Art (FIFA), which runs from March 19-29, 2009. Two of the four films will participate in the competition. The long-playing documentary film for the cinema “bill – das absolute Augenmass” by Erich Schmid and the 50-minute film “Domenico Fontana: ingegnere, architetto, urbanista” by Adriano Kestenholz have been selected for the Creative Crossroads international competition and will compete against 45 films from 17 countries for the Grand Prize.
The short documentary film “Cartographie 9 – La Boule d’Or” by Bruno Deville and the 63-minute documentary film “La beauté crue” by Hervé Nisic and Michel Beretti will be screened in the “Trajectoires” international panorama section, together with a total of 88 films.
The FIFA in Montreal is devoted to the worldwide promotion and presentation of films on art and media art. This year’s festival will present 280 films from 30 countries.
