Swiss Series

In order to bolster the visibility of high-quality Swiss series on the international market, SWISS FILMS and SRG SSR invite you to the Swiss Series Previews at the Berlinale Series Market (February 20-22, 2023). Four Swiss producers will have to opportunity to pitch their series projects in development or in production to an international audience of industry professionals.

The following four new series will be presented by Swiss production companies in coproduction with SRG SSR and its enterprise units SRF, RTS and RSI.

DAVOS

The Berlinale Series Market, an initiative of the European Film Market focusing on the multifaceted aspects of serial content, is organised together with the Berlinale Co-Production Market and Berlinale Talents and in close collaboration with the Berlinale Series.

The two-day event is aimed at international industry specialists from the series sector, offering them networking opportunities, panels, pitchings and carefully selected high-quality content for acquisition, pre-sales and coproductions.

Greater visibility for Swiss series

SWISS FILMS is now systematically adding series to its database. In order to draw increased attention to the diverse range of Swiss series, a new section has been created on the website: Swiss Series, which provides an overview of the latest series that are in production or already on the market.

SWISS FILMS is thus addressing these evolving needs of the film industry. Until now, there was no possibility to obtain information about Swiss series from a central source. For Swiss filmmakers and technicians, the growing series market is crucial in order to be able to continue working in the film industry. SWISS FILMS is supported by SRG SSR for the international promotion of Swiss series at the Berlinale.

SWISS FILMS is the national agency for the promotion of Swiss filmmaking. With consultations, support measures and publications, SWISS FILMS strengthens the international presence of Swiss films on behalf of the Federal Office of Culture.
