Three Swiss short films competing in Montecatini (Italy)

At the 58th edition of the FilmVideo festival – Mostra Internazionale del cortometraggio de Montecatini Terme, taking place from July 9 – 14, 2007, three Swiss films will be part of the short film competition. “Not the End” by Clemens Steiger will be competing in the animated films category. Produced by Geneva company Bord Cadre Films, the film “Il neige à Marrakech/Snowing in Marrakesh” by Hicham Alhayat will be shown in the “Lo sguardo dell’Europa: I Migranti” program, while “Nachtflattern/Night Fluttering”, the diploma film of the School of Art and Design Zurich by Carmen Stadler, will be presented in the “Corteggiamo : Amori, Eros, Passioni in short” program. Carmen Stadler will be in attendance to introduce her film at Montecatini.
In addition, the films “Not the End” and “Dr. Strangehill” by Marcel Bächtiger, as well as “The Cleaner” by Dustin Rees will be among the selection of about 100 works competing for the Tiscali Short Film Award (online competition), which will be bestowed in Montecatini.



The festival, which was founded in 1949, counts among the oldest film events in Italy and focuses on the theme of Migration for this year’s edition.
